Hip Hop Cypher with DJ Ricky Dubs – 6:30pm

Maestro is an Caribbean-American recording artist, producer, and songwriter in the Chicago area. Producing since the age of 13, he has always been familiar with the music industry.

Hailing from the northside of Chicago ( ROGERS PARK) is a emcee that is full of pop culture and wresting references named THE EWOKK. Mostly influenced by underground hip hop , soul , hardcore ,comedy,  and smooth jazz , the ewokk brings a very unique energy and style to the table when it comes to music and his presentation of his work. If you ever nab a chance of seeing THE EWOKK live in his natural habitat at a show you may be in for a treat like him throwing out fruit roll ups twinkees , and  a array of vintage game systems . THE EWOKK is truly like your favorite cartoon come to life .

“Ramaj Eroc”. No two words can describe this Hip-Hop artist no better than “hard working” as he makes his way to the top. Struggling for some kind of publicity, his will to be heard is just the beginning of his story. Born in Chicago & raised on the south suburbs, its been 15 long years since he started on his path for respect, but it seems like it just haven’t came yet. 2013 & 2014 were very huge year for Ramaj…being caught rubbin’ shoulders with Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, Wiz Khalifa, laced verses over beats produced by TDE’s TaeBeast & Willie B, collaborating with comedian Kevin Hart for the smash single “Mitches Do That”. In 2015, he dropped two hit songs ‘N*ggas & B*tches’ & ‘Hooptie, which both surpassed 1,000,000 streams on soundcloud & I Love You More’ featuring Noname with 400,000+ streams.

Based out of Chicago, Tom Moore is a rapper with a penchant for dense lyricism and an ear for production that bolsters his vision. Inspired heavily by the likes of MF DOOM & Aesop Rock, Tom tends to tackle topics with brutal honesty while infusing it with subtle hints of levity. Somewhere in between braggadocious confidence and self deprecating uncertainty is exactly where you can find Tom’s subject matter. While working exclusively with respected producers Nick Arcade and Banks The Genius, Tom plans on working relentlessly on his craft to build a catalog of projects that are simply undeniable.

Local Motive – 7:30pm

As a followup to “Superconductors,” their debut 4-song EP, this new album captures the electric energy of a Local Motive performance, bursting with lyrical messages, irresistible soulful melodies, and the spirit of old-school rhythm & blues. The “Grams” LP is bookended by “Twig” & “Symbiosis” to begin & end on a hopeful note, lyrically & musically, but the album also delves into darker tones, commenting on universal struggles of identity on tracks like “Killer” & “High Life.”

Influences of soul legends are apparent in both the singing of Chilean vocalist, Daniella Rojas & Chicago-native, Mike Vinopal, along with their contemporaries like Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys, & Gary Clark Jr. This powerful new record from Local Motive is a fully-realized statement of new songs from the band that flows from start to finish, with loads of hooks that you’ll be whistling to yourself the next morning.
