Sandra Antongiorgi is an accomplished singer, songwriter and painter. Singing and playing guitar from the early age of 5, her inherent musical talent is undeniable. Sandra’s voice is raw, powerful and effortlessly smooth. Born into a musical Puerto Rican family, Sandra’s bilingualism and heritage transcend deeply into her music. She has proven herself to be a unique lyricist, delivering genuinely magnetic performances, which reveal a feast of auditory excellence. Performing with a number of talented musicians from around the world, along the way, Sandra gathered influences from traditional Caribbean sounds, Soul, R&B, Rumba and Gitano music, creating her own expression of a World, Latin, Neo-Soul sound.

The 48HFP will bring a wild weekend of filmmaking fun to Chicago on August 25 – 27, 2017. On this weekend, our local film scene will explode with filmmakers making films in just 48 hours.
Armed with a genre, character, prop and line of dialogue, our fearless filmmakers will make their way through the cinematic jungle and emerge with a creative masterpiece. And this year, for the FIRST time in Chicago, the team that wins “”Best Film””, will also win a GRAND PRIZE of $1,000!

Alouette – 7:30p
Devoid of or antagonistic to sociable instincts or practices – Alouette is a rock duo from Chicago, formed in 2015 when endless posted a “bedroom punk” demo on the diy forums, and dB, Austin, TX transplant, replied. The two formed a band, one-half raspy vocals and guitar, one-half pulsing drums, discarded matter and refuse, the buzz on a telephone, over mutual love of Fugazi, PJ Harvey and linguistics. They began to play shows around Chicago in 2016 and their début EP, “Psychomotor,” is out now on tape and Bandcamp.
